Not only is the deadline for taxes approaching quickly, but so is the deadline to get your FASFA filled out for financial aid. Yes, this can be filled out later and you will still be eligible for government loans, if you qualify, but you may miss out on grant money. There is only a limited amount of grant money available for students. Grants are FREE money, that as long as you stay a student in good standing you don't have to pay it back!!! Loans must be paid back. Your school must have this information before they can provide you with ANY financial aid. No FASFA-no financial help for college!
Finish your taxes, get your parents to finish theirs, and go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out your FASFA!
Don't forget that you can e-file your taxes for free! http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=118986,00.html
Don't know where you will be attending yet? That's okay you can send it to multiple schools!!!
